The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has successfully located a missing boy child, approximately two years old, in the vicinity of Heavenly Gate area, Owode, Ede, Osun State.
The child, discovered on Saturday the 24th of February, was spotted wandering along the road by a passerby returning from a night vigil around 5:10 am. The concerned individual promptly took the child to the central mosque and later to the Owode Ede Palace, hoping to reunite him with his family.
According to the Corps Public Relations Officer, ASC Adeleke Kehinde, efforts to locate the child’s guardians have been extensive, including announcements through various media channels. Regrettably, no one has come forward to claim the child despite these efforts.
“A boy whose age cannot be ascertained but close to 2 years was found around Heavenly Gate area, Owode, Ede on Saturday 24/2/2024 by a man coming from night vigil around 5:10 am and was taken to a central mosque in the area for announcement and was also taken to Owode Ede’s palace for whoever that was looking for a missing child to identify and claim him but nobody has shown up yet.
“The boy (whose picture appears here) is now in the custody of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, Ido Osun, Osun State.
“Anyone whose child is missing should come to NSCDC, Ido Osun, with valid evidence,” the report read.
ASC Kehinde appeals to the general public to assist in circulating this information until the child’s parents are identified.
