The Kwara State Police command has apprehended four students of Kwara State University (KWASU) for their alleged involvement in the fatal beating of a fellow student.
Confirming the arrests, Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, relayed the information to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ilorin.
Ejire-Adeyemi stated that investigations into the reported killing are currently underway, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Based on investigations conducted by NAN, it is reported that the victim was fatally beaten by a group of KWASU students allegedly for recording them with a video camera.
The incident purportedly took place within a private hostel located outside the campus premises, raising concerns about safety measures in off-campus accommodations.
